Does my dog need physiotherapy?

Behaviour
The behaviour of your dog can indicate how comfortable they are. If they are not as keen to go for walks or start struggling to get into the car or climb steps it could be a sign that they are in pain. Another sign that there may be something wrong is if they do not like being stroked in a particular area or they become more demanding. If you notice any of these changes which lasts for a few days it would be a good idea to contact me.

Changes in posture
Take note of how your dog sits, stands and lies down. If they often stand with the same leg out to one side or in front of the other one they could be trying to off-load a limb. If they always sit or lie on the same side it could also be a sign of pain.

But they don't look lame!
Dogs are very good at compensating for pain so please don’t think that just because they don’t look lame they do not have a problem.
